WOODS

Wooster's premier outdoors club

ABOUT

WOODS is the College of Wooster's premiere outdoors club. Our members are welcome to pursue any and all outdoor activities. Whether one enjoys backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, camping, tree hugging or anything else you can do outside, WOODS is the place to be.

WOODS is participant driven. Want to take a hike in a local park? Go mountain biking in Utah? Take a white water rafting trip to Pennsylvania? Rock climb in West Virginia? Maintain a trail right here in Wooster? We can help you do it.

Never touched a climbing rope, topo map, mountain bike or kayak? Or do you flash 5.12 climbs, summit fourteeners, or run class V rivers like a pro? Whether you are an expert or have no experience at all, WOODS will help you to get into the outdoors. If you want to learn how to do something, we will teach you. If you want to exercise your skills, we’d love to help you get a trip together.

Beyond our activities, we advocate for environmental issues, access to wilderness and ethical outdoor recreation. We volunteer in our community, and hope to help students engage with the outdoors at Wooster and beyond.
